My Big Girl turned 7 yesterday! I can't believe she is already 7! She is such a sweety! We have been trying to do things different for the past 2 yrs. by having small parties with just family. So, we went to her favorite restaurant this year...which is Pizza Inn and had such a good time! Afterwards we came home and sang Happy Birthday to her again with another cake and opened her presents. She told us that this was her best birthday ever...lol! I'm blessed that she realized this year the importance of being thankful! I have to say that she is amazingly smart for her age and is so excited about being in the LEAP program this year! The LEAP program is a group of students with IQ's of 120 plus and have been ruled eligible by the Local Survey Committee. I'm sure this is going to be an experience for us parents as well...lol! She loves to read and is very good at Math. She also loves to draw! I will have to share one of her drawings soon! Loves to do crafty things...reminds me of myself when I was a wee lade...lol! She misses dance class ALOT...hopefully we can afford it again! Her best friend is a lil Mexican girl named Cheyenne. Its funny cause when she is with us everyone thinks Cheyenne is my little girl instead of Meri. She played T-ball last year and will be on the Soft-ball team this year! She says she wants to marry her daddy when she grows up...lol! Of course we had to explain to her about all that! She is getting to be sooo TALL! Right now she is up to my chest in height and thats not including her hair...lol! Speaking ok... she gets so many compliments on her blonde locks! She use to tell those who asked her "where'd you get that curly hair from"...she would say, "God gave it to me"...:) If that want put a smile on a parents face I don't know what will...lol! She loves to go riding on her 4-wheelers when we are out at their Nana and Pops. She is such a good Helper and is so eager to please! Oh and she loves Word Girl that comes on PBS. She also has a thing for Horses! Well it seems as though I can keep going on and on about my Big Girl, but I better end it here...lol! Oh...wait! I have to tell you about something she drew after VBS one day. She drew 3 crosses and I think she had on there I love you Jesus. Then she wrote "take this Jesus". She left it on the table and then the next morning it was still there, she asked why didn't he take it mommy? Of course I tried my best to explain. Anywho...I thought that was very sweet! K, I'm thru...lol!
Until Next time...:)
God Bless!

Mixed Emotions...
TODAY---Its a beautiful sunny day, My Big girl turns 7, just found out that my hubby might get activated because of a Hurricane, been afraid to venture out to a part of town where I want to get my daughter her "HAPPY" all because of an incident that happened to me on Tues., I'm "suppose" to go see mi familia this weekend in the Delta...etc.
Mixed Emotions...all these things running through my mind at the moment! Lord, please ease my mind and worries!
I'll soon be putting a pic up of the Birthday Girl when I get a chance.
To be continued...
Well, I ran all my errands with the help of C.L. (he is such a life saver)! I'll share more about him later. So, it all wasn't to bad...until I found myself talking to a complete stranger about my issue on Tues. I feel like such an idiot!! I told ya I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, but sometimes my mouth can get away from me! Let's just say, she dodged the conversation...guess she didn't know what to say or was a bit shocked! I just feel so VIOLATED and no one else seems to understand how "serious" this situation could have turned out! Thank-God it didn't! He was definetly watching over us that day!

More About Me...:)
Since I was only limited to so many characters on the "about me section" I decided to put my original version here:
Are you ready?
Here we go...
I am a stay at home mom with 4 children all which range from the ages of 7 to 1yrs old. I love music and love to dance! I play guitar and love to sing! I use to sing and play in church and sing in a Jazz Band while in college, but since married life and kids I am not so brave anymore. I also use to be in the color guard in college! So, now I prefer my home as of right now to practice my dance moves, vocals and choice of instruments! (I'm working on the "getting out" part). I love to draw...but haven't found much time for that talent either here lately! I am what some may call a Tom-boy! I like to hunt, fish, and get dirty if I have to. I find myself cutting grass, weed-eating, and loading up trailers full of junk my husband seems to find so I can haul off whether it be behind our shed in a non-visible place or off to a junk-yard! I am the type of person when I start something I will finish it or it will bother me all day! I am not perfect and have made quite a few mistakes in my life, but I choose to learn from them and MOVE ON!! I use to love to write poems and even made a few into songs, but only a few have heard me sing them, only because they are kind of personal! Maybe one day I'll have the nerve to post!? I consider myself to be a loyal friend and a people person when I am in the "mood"! I am one to strike up a conversation with anyone as long as they seem welcoming of one! You know the type that will keep there head in a magazine just so they want have to talk to anyone or those that want make eye contact (they are off my conversation list). I want go out of my way! (K, I know thats not Christian-like...I'm working on that too!) I'm a bit of a people pleaser, but when my toes get stepped on to many times, believe me, you will hear about it! I have started to look at the world from a different perspective, this all will come later in a blog I'm sure! I have been trying to live my life for Christ! It definitely hasn't been easy especially when the "wolf" seems to always come knocking at your door! But it’s only by the Grace of God that we don't fall to far from Him! Oh and last, but not least, my hubby, my best friend, my soldier! I have watched him fall in so many ways, but only to pick himself up again and Never give UP! He is the only one beside the Lord up above that knows everything about me, from my faults and my most inner fears! I love him with all my HEART!:)
I want to Thank-You for taking the time to read my blog and go on this journey we call life with us! Enjoy!
---Now I feel better...I prolly could add more, but whats the Fun in getting to know me all in one day...lol!

My Title
Well first I want to welcome you to my blog-site! :) I have been wanting to do this for some time now, but just haven't found the time! "Today is the day" is what I had to tell myself...lol! So, here I am... It took me awhile to figure out the "Title" until I heard this beautiful song by Nicol Sponberg. It reminds me to basically "Be Still" and admire all the beautiful things God has given us! Now...I know that thats not what the song is all about...but I really took heart to the Title and how it is how I want it to reflect me and my everday life! To simply "Be Still" and you will hear His voice, he is always by your side where He faithfully will remain!
